West Point Grey (Vancouver Westside)

West Point Grey is a neighbourhood on the western side of the city of Vancouver. Bordered by 16th Avenue to the south, Alma Street to the east, English Bay to the north, and Blanca Street to the west. Today, it's one of Canada's most expensive residential areas, with Point Grey average home prices sitting well above the $3 million mark.

Nestled between UBC and Kitsilano on the southern shore of the famous English Bay in Vancouver, this prestigious neighbourhood has all the comforts of home. Mature, leafy trees dapple sunlight across the cozy streets, with varied and magnificent houses lining the well-loved avenues perfect for bike rides.

North of West 4th Avenue, the area slopes steeply downhill where it meets English Bay at Locarno Beach and Spanish Banks Beach, a treasure in this community, only a short walk to its sparkling swimming beaches, park trails, tennis club and Royal Vancouver yacht club.

Enjoy the view of the Pacific Ocean and the North Shore mountain range from most of the homes in this area. This vista provides incredible views for virtually the whole neighbourhood - sunsets enjoyed from the living room or porch will be memories of a lifetime.

A quiet, friendly neighbourhood, you’ll find delightful people walking along the sidewalks with you to the kitchy 4th Avenue locale with pubs, restaurants and shops to satisfy all of your needs.

Stretching all the way South to 16th Avenue and as far East as Alma, bordered by University grounds on the west side, find magnanimous homes with extra large lots, mature trees and epic architecture. West Point Grey is the perfect place to live in nature while partipicating in the thriving events of the fantastic city that surround you.

The main commercial strip with shops and restaurants is along West 10th Avenue between Tolmie Street and Discovery Street. Fiesta Days, a family oriented carnival, is held along 10th Avenue and Trimble Park in June, with rides, games, performances and a parade.

Schools include Lord Byng Secondary School, which serves students from the neighbourhood, along with Our Lady of Perpetual Help,Queen Elizabeth Elementary School, Queen Mary Elementary School, École Jules Quesnel and the private PreK-12 school West Point Grey Academy.
